The First Day Film opened the 2019 Reel Recovery Film Festival at Village East Cinema in New York City. The opening night film screening was followed by a Q&A with Chris Herren & Director, Jonathan Hock, of Hock Films. The evening was a true celebration of awareness, prevention education & recovery with nonprofit partners Center on Addiction and Herren Project also in attendance for the nearly sold-out event in the East Village.

About The Festival
The Reel Recovery Film Festival is produced by Writers in Treatment co-founded by Leonard Buschel and Robert Downey, Sr. will the goal of producing cultural events that celebrate recovery and reduce the stigma associated with the medical conditions of dependence and addiction.
